Selling or buying a new home isn’t an easy process.
Especially when you’re not expecting something called home foundation
inspection. Before you dive into the market for buying or selling a house,
here’s why you should get an inspection for the home’s foundation:
Bulging walls
One of the many signs that compel on having a pre-purchase
inspection is bulging walls. Bulging walls are a sign that there is an uneven
foundation that is resulting in uneven shifting of the load. This also results
in crack formations, which are easily noticeable too.
Sloping Floors
Sloping is not prominent to the naked eye. However, you can
determine this by running a ball on the plain surface that you think is sloped.
The foundation will need an inspection if it rolls.
Sticking Windows And Doors
Windows sticking or impaired doors are not signs of
malfunctioning but showing that foundation inspection is needed. The more they
open and close in a stubborn manner, the bigger is the issue.
Foundation Cracks
Obvious signs that show foundation inspections are necessary
are the cracks that are showing up on your foundation. Cracks on brick or
sheet rock are an issue and require quick inspection.
